Fresh and Hardened Properties of Self Compacting Concrete Incorporating Different Binder Materials

چکیده

Self compacting concrete (SCC) is an innovative development of conventional concrete, which requires high binder content to increase its segregation resistance. This paper presents a comparative study on the use of different materials as binder content in SCC and their effects on the workability and strength properties are checked. Different combinations of Fly ash, Metakaolin and Saw dust ash are used with keeping the percentage of OPC constant at 70% of the total binder content. Fly ash content is varied from 0 to 30% and Metakaolin and Saw dust ash content from 0 to 15%. Water to binder ratio is maintained at 0.41%. Workability tests like V-funnel test, Slump flow test, L-box test and J-Ring test are executed and strength properties like compressive strength and splitting tensile strength are checked at different days of curing.
